The Local Transport History Society

The LTHS is a part of the LUT Society and was formed in 2014 with the intention of converting the fleet lists and histories formerly on the website of Peter Gould (the LUT Society secretary) into illustrated PDF booklets for reference by enthusiasts. The Society has no membership fee, so has no ‘members’ per se but relies on the goodwill of enthusiasts for contributions.

It should be noted that the domain petergould.co.uk was relinquished by Peter in 2015 and has been purchased by another individual who has loaded the former fleet lists etc back onto the site without permission - these are out of date lists and there are also links added to commercial websites - we would advise enthusiasts not to visit this site for information, all of which can now be found on the LTHS website and regularly updated - and there are several new fleet lists and histories available!

The Local Transport History Society publishes illustrated PDF booklets to a format of 7x5 inches, which makes them easier to read on the screen without annoying scrolling. All booklets are published free of charge and are available to download from the website. More booklets will be published in a similar format as time permits - there are currently over 100 illustrated histories and fleet lists available.
